holiday base camp
The children will get the opportunity to build dens, make and cook on fires, use tools, climb trees, get muddy and if there is any time left over we can explore the 300 acres we have access to!
The safari tent nestled within a young woodland will be our safe and secure base camp which is surrounded by the wonderful Warwickshire Countryside. Our fire circle near base camp will provide heat and cook our food while we use tools to make items such as bow and arrows and other essentials to survive! Wild life is in abundance, horses are in nearby paddocks and lifeguarded lakes are within reach.

LEVEL 3 FOREST SCHOOL LEADER
Forest Schools originated from Scandinavia in the 1950’s and was introduced into the UK in 1995. This was after a group of Nursery Nurse students observed the practice in Denmark. Forest Schools focus is on teaching children about the natural world. Early years were the first to experience this approach before it was rolled out to other areas after they witnessed improvement in confidence and self esteem of the Early Years children.
With the four walls of the classroom removed, the outdoor environment of Forest Schools promotes mental and physical well being and “forms part of the physical and mental life long learning”. This unconventional learning environment enables some learners to realise their full potential for the first time. By returning to the same site repeatedly the learners also have the opportunity to witness the range of seasons and their changing affect. Each visit progressively builds upon newly learned skills in the comfort of the same setting and leader.
