2023 Achievements

• 12 months ago we were coaching between 50 to 60 people
• Now approaching 300 people
• Linked with a local secondary school (St Peters) coaching 45 pupils over two after school SmashUp! sessions
• Encouraged juniors to participate in Warwickshire Restricted Tournament where we won a large number of medals - went to support these juniors at the tournament
• Guiding our stronger players to play in the Badminton England Bronze Circuits
• Arranged the residential at Loughborough University to give players a broader range of coaching expertise
• Taken players to Birmingham University to participate in Lorraine Coles (former world number 10) summer camps again to expose the kids to a different variety of coaching styles and experiences
• Entered teams in to the local Solihull League - juniors won the league in 2023
•  Created an online area for players to develop their skills further at home
• Great at getting the under represented groups involved - diverse ethnic communities and females playing
• Beginner adult group
• New No Strings
• Family Games Practice
• Funding two Level 1 coaches
• Arranging 70 of our members to experience the Yonex All England
• Chirstmas gathering
• Left work in schools to take on Badminton full time
